Timber decking · DublinDublin city & county

Hardwood and thermo wood decks.
Natural timber, detailed properly.

Short answer

We build hardwood and thermo wood decks for Dublin homes that want a warm, natural terrace. Timber lasts in Irish weather when it’s spaced, ventilated and fixed correctly, and when it’s oiled when it needs it. We explain the upkeep honestly before you choose.

Good to knowBefore you choose

Plain advice.
No upsell.

  • Untreated timber turns silver-grey within a season; oiling keeps the colour.
  • Thermo wood is stable and light; hardwoods are denser and harder-wearing.
  • Timber needs more care than composite. If you want no upkeep, we’ll say so.
FAQHardwood & thermo wood decking

Questions people ask.
Plain answers.

How long does a hardwood deck last in Ireland?

With good ventilation, correct fixings and occasional oiling, a hardwood deck lasts many years. Most problems come from poor airflow and trapped water, not the timber itself.

What is thermo wood?

Timber that has been heat-treated to make it more stable and resistant to rot without chemicals. It’s lighter than hardwood and moves less with the weather.

How often should a timber deck be oiled?

Usually once a year, sometimes twice in exposed spots. We tell you what your deck needs at handover.

Timber or composite?

Timber looks and feels natural; composite needs less care. We’ll show both and help you decide.

How much does a timber deck cost?

A treated softwood deck is roughly €80–130 per m² installed. Hardwood and thermo wood cost more depending on the species and board size, so we quote them per job.
