FAQDeck maintenance
Questions people ask.
Plain answers.
When is the best time to oil a deck in Ireland?
Late spring to early autumn, on a run of dry days so the timber is dry before and after oiling.
Can you fix a slippery deck?
Usually. Most slipperiness is algae; a deep clean and the right oil help a lot. Shaded decks need cleaning more often.
Do you maintain decks you didn’t build?
Yes. Send a few photos and we’ll tell you whether it’s worth restoring.
